Lord Collin and Lady Mary often spent time together in Lily's Garden where they grew up together, and where Lord Collin
regained his health.
Lord Collin and Lady Mary would sit together in the garden and just be happy that they could share time together since
the birth of their daughter, Lady Lily.
They would spend time talking and Mary would says," There is none more beautiful than our garden."
"Yes we have a lovely garden but it's you that makes it beautiful ." Collin said.
"One day dearest Collin, we will not be here but I have faith in our children that they will kept up our garden and continue
to keep it alive.
"I think about the little garden near the rose garden where we shall be laid to rest when it comes our time." Mary said,
"I could not allow us to buried at the Craven masoleum where it is so cold and dark."
"We will be laid to rest as you wish my dear but not for a very long time." Collin said.
"We have our whole lives in front of us."Mary says
"Yes we will spend some time away from Misselthwaite Manor in the winter in sunny Southern Italy." Collin says, " I found
the most charming villa in Southern Italy and in an the back is a garden for you dear Mary." Collin said.
"I am sure it is very charming but there is not a more lovelier garden than our garden right here." Mary says
Sometimes Collin thought his life was all a dream and that Mary and he were not married and that they didn't have
a daughter. He was thoughtful and Mary would interrupted his thoughts and said, "My dear Collin what are you thinking about?"
"I was thinking what if we hadn't married each other and didn't have our daughter what a lonely life I would have had."
Collin said.
"We all have fleeting thoughts about what if we had not done those things we should have done." Mary said.
"All those years we were apart. They were the very painful for me." Collin said, " I couldn't get an answer from anyone
where you were."
"Collin, can you not put the past behind you my love." Mary said, " I know it was hard on both of us."
"All those years without you." Collin said
"We have many years before us." Mary says
"Yes we do and I am thankful for them." Collin said.
Mary smiles at Collin and says, " We have so many years to spend together."
"Yes we do my dear Mary." Collin said.
"I think I will bring our daughter out here tomorrow I want her to come love Lily's Garden as much as we do." Mary said
"I can't seeing anyone whom comes to visit us not loving Lily's Garden." Collin said.
"Collin this is our paradise and a little piece of heaven here on earth." Mary said.
"Yes it is our paradise and one day our children as they come to us will grow to love the garden." Collin said.
"I can see our daughters and sons marry in Lily's Garden and come to love it as we have." Mary said.
"I think sometimes I see Aunt Lily in this very garden picking roses from the rose garden." Mary says.
"She is as much in this garden as she with us." Collin said.
"Father had so many pictures taken of her and portraits done of her." Collin said.
"I have seen the photos of Aunt Lily, she was beautiful when she married Uncle Archie." Mary said.
"Yes my late mother hated to leave us and she begged for father's forgiveness for having to leave him." Collin said.
"Well as you can see I am healthy and delivered the first of our three children. I will love them each in turn and treat
them as individuals." Mary said.
"You are a good mother and a wonderful wife." Collin said to Mary.
"I try very hard to be a good wife and a good mother." Mary said, " I will never be like my own mother."
Those were some of Mary's painful memories that still haunted her even as an adult.
